Kotiseminaari 2010, osa 1, The Stay at Home Day 2010, part 1

Osallistuin Nukkekotiyhdistyksen Kotiseminaariin. Suurkiitokset Mirelle valtavasta työstä!
Eija oli Swap-parini. Hän lähetti minulle nämä kerrassaan upeat helmikaktukset.
Taustalla myös kaktusten mukana tullut kaunis kortti, jonka Eija on tehnyt.

I took part to Finland's Dolls House Society's Stay at Home Day. Huge thanks to Mire! The project was very big.
Eija was my Swap friend. She sent to me these splendid pearl cacti. Behind the plants is beautiful card, which Eija also has made.

Voileipiä, Some sandwiches

Tein muutaman tomaatti-maksamakkaravoileivän ja juustoviipaleen. Aineksina ovat taikataikina ja ohuenohuet Fimo-tomaattiviipaleet, jotka leikkasin valmiista tangosta. Tarvitsin lisäksi maalia näiden viimeistelyyn.
Pienet lautaset tein myös Fimosta, mutta iso lautanen on korkin sisällä oleva muoviympyrä.

I made some tomato-liver sausage sandwiches and cheese slices. The indredients are salt dough and very thin tomato slices, which I cut from ready-made Fimo bar. I needed also paint to complete these.
The small plates I made from Fimo, but the big one is the inside plastic circle from a bottle.

Miniaturas

Ostin Forssasta yhden Miniaturas-lehden. Se on täynnä hyviä, yksityiskohtaisia kuvia. Harmi, että en osaa espanjaa.

I bought from Forssa one Miniaturas magazine. It is full of good, detailed photos. It is pity, that I can't Spanish.

Nukkekoti-lehti 3/2010

Viime viikolla postilaatikkoon saapui Nukkekoti-lehti 3/2010. Taas kerran paljon mielenkiintoista luettavaa. Sivulta 17 löytyy Kotiseminaari. Ihan uutta Suomessa!

Aalto-maljakko, Alvar Aalto -vase

Forssasta Turun flikkojen pöydästä löysin näin kauniin Aalto-maljakon. Tekijä saattaa olla nimeltään Titta, mutta en ole tästä varma.

From Turku's girls' table (Forssa Fair) I found this beautiful Alvar Aalto -vase. The maker is probably Titta, but I am not sure.

Kirjotut tyynyt, The Embroidered cushions

Doloresilta löytyi nätti tyynykirjontatyö.
Siinä oli kaikki mukana: ohjeet, kankaat, langat, neula, vanu ja jopa Picot-nauhaa.
Iloiseksi yllätykseksi materiaaleista sai tehtyä kaksi tyynyä.
Muokkasin ohjetta hieman. Käytin lisänä kahta eri sävyistä lankaa ja jätin mustan pois. Näin sain tyynyistä Villa Ainon olohuoneeseen sopivat.

From Dolores I found this pretty embroidery cushion kit.
In it was all one needed: the instructions, fabrics, threads, needle, wadding and even Picot-ribbon.
It was a happy surprise to find out I could make two cushions from the materials.
I modified the instructions a little bit. I added two more shades of threads and left the black one out. That way I got the cushions that fit to Villa Aino's living room.

Kranssit, The Wreaths

Tykkään kaikenlaisista kransseista tosi paljon. Tein jokusen myös minikoossa markkinoille. Punainen näyttää jouluiselta, vaikka kuinka on helle ja heinäkuu.

I like very much all kind of wreaths. I made several miniature ones for the fair. The red in rather christmassy, though it is warm and July.

Forssaan, To Forssa

Markkinoille ovat lähdössä nämäkin kalusteet. Tein muutaman kappaleen erän naulakoita ja kenkätelineitä sekä laatikoita, joissa voi säilyttää vaikkapa sanomalehtiä.

For the fair are also these hall furniture. I made some hat and coat racks, shelves for shoes and boxes, where one can store for example newspapers.

Markkinoille, For the Fair

Ompelin jo keväällä markkinoille viisi tilkkupeittoa. Nämä ovat parisängyn peittoja. Ne on koottu pikkuruisista neliöistä.
Peittoja ei ollut helppo kuvat. Näissa kuvissa ovat esillä vain värit ja kuviot.

Already in spring I sewed five quilt bedspreads for the fair. These are large enough for the double bed. The quilts are made from tiny squares.
It was difficult to photograph them. In the photos only the colours and patterns can be seen.

Markkinoille, For the Fair

Sain valmiiksi keittiön astiakaappeja markkinoille, mutta sitten tuli mieleeni kysymys, miten ylähyllyille ylettyy. Ei auttanut muu kuin tehdä jakkaroitakin. Olen käyttänyt seuraavia maaleja:
Wedgewood Green, Brown Oxide, Sandstone, Blue Stoneware, Antique White ja White.
Nämä ovat Plaidin Apple Barrel -värejä. Minusta ne ovat parhaita akryylimaaleja minitöihin. Omani olen hankkinut Nukkekoti ja Lelun nettikaupasta.

A couple days ago I finished these dressers for the fair, but then I wondered, how one can reach the top shelves. So I had to make also dresser stools. I have painted dressers and stools with following colours: Wedgewood Green, Brown Oxide, Sandstone, Blue Stoneware, Antique White and White. These are Plaid's Appel Barrel -colours. I think that they are the best acrylic paints for miniature projects. I have bought mine from Nukkekoti ja Lelu's online shop.
