Neule ja lankakeriä, Some knitting and the balls of wool yarn
Kerät on ommeltu pillin palojen ympärille.
Neulepuikkoina ovat korupiikit, joihin liimasin pienet helmet nupeiksi.
I got just ready a beginning of knitting and the basket full of wool yarn balls.
The balls I sewed around the drinking straw pieces.
The knitting needles are made of the trinket spikes. I glued tiny pearls in the ends of the spikes.

Kerro, kerro kuvastin, Mirror, mirror on the wall
- peili luomivärirasiasta
- kartonki
- pitsi
- kullanvärinen ja punainen tussi
- liima.
Leikkasin kartongin vähän peiliä suuremmaksi. Väritin kartongin reuna-alueet punaisella värillä. Liimasin peilin kartongille. Väritin pitsin kullanvärisellä tussilla. Liimasin pitsin hieman peilin päälle ja kartonkiin.
I made the big mirror to the sewing room from following materials:
- mirror from the eye make up box
- card
- lace
- gold and red paint maker
- glue.
I cut the card a little larger than the mirror. Then I painted the edges of the card with red colour. After that I glued the mirror on the card. I painted the lace with the gold colour and glued the lace little above the mirror and on the card.

Ompeluhuoneen matto, The Sewing room's carpet
Ei näin! Yhtenä iltana sain valtavan inspiraation. Nyt pitää tehdä matto. Keräsin yhteen villalankoja, joita minulla sattui olemaan kotona ja ryhdyin työhön. Malli on Sue Hawkinsin kirjasta Embroidered Projects. Loppuvaiheessa olikin reippaasti ongelmia, kun mikään lanka ei tahtonut riittää. Lopputuloksena maton reunat ovat eriväriset!
Not this way! One evening I got an inspiration (a huge one)! Now I want to make a carpet. I took the wool yarns which I had at home and began to work. The pattern is from Embroidered Projects by Sue Hawkins. At the end I had many problems, because there were not enough yarns to finish the carpet. As the result the edging is multicolour.

Ompelupöytä, The Sewing table
The sewing table is the first furniture, which I have made to the dolls' house. The intruction for the table is from Vivienne Boulton's book The Doll's House Decorator. The table is a little bit lower than the instruction says. I have painted the sewing table with ochre acryl paint.
Silityslauta, The Ironing board
I upholstered the ironing board with new fabric. I also cut about 0.5 mm off the legs, because the board was too high compared with other pieces of furniture.

Ompelujakkara, The sewing stool
Alimmassa otoksessa ompelukonepöytä ja jakkara yhteiskuvassa.
The sewing stool I have made from the sparkling wine bottle's cap holder. I crocheted the little circle, which I glued on the seat with Aleene's Tacky Glue.
In the third photo the sewing machine table and the the stool are together.

Ompelukone, The Sewing machine
The sewing machine on table was among my first mini purchases. I thought that the table was too low. I took it to pieces and added wood below the table sheet. I added some wood also to the box section. The painting with brown acrylic paint is AWFUL!
To the sewing machine I added from the wire the thread holder and the needle. There is also some thread.

Ompeluhuone, The sewing room
Villa Aino's sewing room is on the second floor. The photo is bad. On the side walls there are rose wall paper from the Euro Mini's collection. The back wall has painted with furniture paint. On the floor is gray-white plastic carpet. It's pattern is very small and the carpet is thin although it is scale 1:1. The mouldings I have painted with dark brown akrylic paint. The pelmet is a wood piece covered with braid and lace.
