Työhuoneen pöytä nro 1, The Workroom's desk number 1

Aika päiviä sitten rakentelin tämän kirjoituspöydän, jossa on osana myös pieni kirjahyllykkö. Olen tehnyt pöydän vanerista ja maalannut akryylimaalilla.
Hyllykössä on muutama ostokirja ja lisäksi itse tehtyjä opuksia.

Very long time ago I made this desk, which has as a part little bookcase. The materials are plywood and acrylic paint.
On the bookcase there are some books, which I have bought and some self-made ones.

Työhuoneen kirjahyllyt, The workroom's bookcases

Aina silloin tällöin olen leikannut ja liimannut kirjoja kirjakerhon lehtien kuvista ja kartongista. Nyt sain täyteen työhuoneen kirjahyllyt. Hyllyt olen ostanut Minimum World - nimisestä kaupasta.

Now and then I have cut and glued books from the bookclub's magazines' pictures and cardboard. Now I got enough to fill the bookcases of the workroom. The bookcases I have bought from Minimum World.

Pääsiäisyllätyksiä, The Easter Surprises

Sain vihreän hirviön Pääsiäisyllätyksenä tänä vuonna. Pienet silmälasit ovat olleet aiemmin saadun yllätyksen osana. Silmälasit olen ajatellut sijoittaa Villa Ainon työhuoneen pöydälle. Ne ovat aivan mittakaavaa 1:12. Hirviölle en taida koskaan keskiä käyttöä.

I got this year as the Easter Surprise this green monster. The eyeglasses I have got earlier as a part of the surprise. I think I put the glasses on Villa Aino's workroom's table. They are just scale 1:12. I am quite sure that I don't find place for the monster.

Kakkuja, Cakes

Leivoin Fimosta pieniä suklaakakkuja ja "marsipaanikakkuja". Kakkupaperit ovat suklaalevyn kääreestä.
Tarjottimen materiaaleina ovat vaneri ja hammastikut. Sen mitat ovat n. 4 x 3,5 cm. Vahasin tarjottimen hunajavahalla. Se tuoksuu tosi hyvälle.

I baked from Fimo small chocolate cakes and "marzipan cakes". The doilies are from the chocolate bar's wrapping paper.
The materials of the tray (the measure is about 4 x 3,5 cm) are plywood and toothpicks. I waxed the tray with honey wax. It smells really good.

Ostoksia, Some purchases

Olen havitellut näitä matkalaukkuja ja arkkua jo pitkän aikaa. Nyt sitten ostin ne Minimum World -nimisestä kaupasta. Matkalaukut eivät aukea, mutta matka-arkkuun saa laitettua matkatavaroita.

I have been after these suitcases and trunk for a long time. Now I bought them from Minimum World shop. The suitcases don't open, but to the trunk one can put some luggage.

Lisää kaaleja ja muutama juusto, More cabbages and some cheeses

Tein Fimosta muutaman keräkaalinkin ja Edam-juustoja.

I made from Fimo also several cabbages and two Edam cheeses.

Porkkanoita ja kaaleja, Some carrots and cauliflowers

Korillinen kukkakaaleja ja porkkanoita. Muutamiin porkkanoihin liimasin myös naatit.

The basket full of cauliflowers and carrots. To some of the carrots I glued also the tops.

Sieniä, The Mushrooms

Usko tai älä! Nämä ovat herkkusienen ja herkkutatin lakkeja.

Believe or not! These are the caps of cultivated mushrooms and porcinis.

Sipulit, The Onions

Yritin tehdä Fimosta sipuleita....

Vihanneksia, juureksia ja sieniä

Tein Fimosta eilen erilaisia vihanneksia, juureksia ja sieniä. Polymeerimassa ei ole minulle kovinkaan tuttu materiaali. Värien saaminen mahdollisimman luonnollisiksi oli vaikeaa ja noista muodoistakin voi olla monta mieltä.
Tässä nyt ensimmäisenä tomaatit kulhossa sekä vadilla.

Tänään on arvonnan viimeinen päivä (ks. tarkemmin perjantai 9.4.10)!

Yesterday I made from the polymer clay Fimo some vegetables, root vegetables and mushrooms. I am not familiar with the polymer clay. It was difficult to get right colours and about the shapes man / woman can really have many opinions.
Here at first a bowl and a dish of tomatoes.
REMEMBER:
Today is the last day of participation to the Lottery (look at Friday the 9th of April)!

Vierashuone valmis, The Quest room completed

Aurinko paistoi kauniisti ja ajattelin, että nyt on hyvä hetki ottaa valokuvia valmiista Villa Ainon vierashuoneesta. Ei näistä kuvista hyviä tullut. Huoneen takaosa jää epäselväksi, kun valoa ei ole vieläkään tarpeeksi. Toivottavasti näistä kuitenkin saa jonkinlaisen käsityksen huoneesta.
Kun katson, tajuan että verho täytyy vaihtaa. Se on kamala!

The sun shone beautifully and I thought that now is fine moment to take the photos of Villa Aino's completed guest room. The photos aren't good. The back of the room is unclear. There isn't still enough light. Anyway I hope that these photos give you some kind of idea about this room.
When I look at the photos I realize that I must change the curtain. It is awful!

Nallet seikkailevat makuuhuoneessa, The bears adventure in the bedroom

Nallekaverukset kurkistelevat vaatekirstusta.
Kirstun olen tehnyt kolmisen vuotta sitten Vivienne Boultonin kirjan ohjeella. Vaatearkku on saanut odottaa todella kauan omaa paikkaansa. Sen materiaaleina ovat pahvi ja paperi. Toinen nallukoista on ensimmäinen huovutustyöni. Toinen The Dolls' House Emporiumin kasvatti.
Nyt nallet ovat hypänneet jo matolle! Maton tein tänään liimaamalla pahvin päälle ohutta narua.
Mistähän nallekaverukset löytyvät seuraavan kerran!?

The bear friends peep from the blanket box.
I have made the box about 3 years ago. The instruction is from Vivienne Boulton's book. It has taken really long time to find place for this item. It is made from cardboard and paper.
The smaller bear is my first felting work. The other is from The Dolls' House Emporium.
Now the bears have jumped on the carpet! I made the carpet today just by gluing thin rope on cardboard.
Where the bear friends will be next time!?

Orava, The Squirrel

Tässä lintulautamme vakiovieras. Herra tai rouva Oravan talviturkki on vaihtumassa vaaleampaan kesäversioon.

Here is our bird feeder's regular visitor. Mr or Mrs Squirrel's winter fur is changing to the lighter summer version.

Nojatuolit työhuoneeseen, The Workroom's chairs

Freida Grayn kirjassa Dolls' House Furniture on myös näiden nojatuolien ohje. Koska leposohva tuntui minusta isolta, niin pienensin tuolin ohjetta 10 %. Nyt olen tyytyväinen mittakaavaan.
Puurungon lisäksi materiaaleina ovat pahvi, vanulevy, flanelli ja kangas. Olin yllättynyt, kun löysin tällaista 1:12 mittakaavaan sopivaa kangasta Eurokankaasta Lempäälän Ideaparkista.
Tuolien paikaksi ajattelin Villa Ainon työhuonetta.

In Freida Gray's book Dolls' House Furniture there is also the instruction of these chairs. Because I felt that the divan was quite big I reduced the measures of the chair 10 %. Now I am happy with the scale.
The materials for the chair are wooden frame, card board, wadding sheet, flannel and fabric. I was surprised when I found this kind of 1:12 scale fabric in Eurokangas (textile shop in Lempäälä's Ideapark shopping centre).
I think that I put the chairs to Villa Aino's workroom.

Makuuhuoneen tuolit, The Bedroom's chairs

Tein uudet istuintyynyt makuuhuoneen tuoleihin. Nyt ne eivät enää näytä siltä kuin niissä kasvaisi ruohoa.
